ABOUT THE CCC

Christopher Coppola

Albey Alpizar

We at the Creative Cinema Collective are well aware of the difficulties present in breaking into the film industry.

A lack of funding. Not having the right connections. No distribution channels. If your film is completed, then having no idea where to take out film once you’re done with the film festival and YouTube circuit.

In the CCC, you will learn not only to make films better, but how to market them. We will train you to become entrepreneurs, not just filmmakers. You’ll learn to organize a production house, develop marketing plans and pitch for funds – all necessary skills for a career in filmmaking.

That’s the purpose of the CCC: to shift the next generation of filmmakers from job seekers to job creators, by provide you the necessary entrepreneurship tools and that vital foothold in the international film industry.

In Phase 3 of the CCC, you will also get to Qingdao, China, the host city for the Hera International Film Festival, and meet n’ mingle with filmmakers, celebrities, and film industry professionals.

The workshop in China will be led by the Professor Christopher Coppola, the Artistic Director of the CCC (yes, he is related to the famous Francis Ford Coppola). The entrepreneurship support is provided by the European Confederation of Junior Enterprises (JADE), represented by Albey Alpizar.

In addition, your pitches and marketing plans will be scrutinized by our very own shark tank.

THE CCC

SUMMARISED

The CCC is a film-making workshop and competition for youths across the world, held in conjunction with the Hera International Film Festival (HIFF).

It will take place in your country of origin (Phase 2) and in Qingdao, China, on 21st – 29th September 2018 (Phase 3). The CCC covers all aspects of filmmaking, from pre- to post-production, including the essential but oft-overlooked aspect of marketing. The CCC covers significant benefits to aspiring young filmmakers, as it enables them to quickly learn important filmmaking skills and develop a worldwide network of people in the film industry, gaining a foothold in this competitive industry and helping with their future employability. Prof. Coppola and his team will provide guidance on the technical aspects of filmmaking, and JADE will assist us in imparting to students the business aspects of filmmaking. We believe this entrepreneurship aspect is vital if we are to shift these students from being mere job seekers to job creators.
